It's almost here! Thanks to everyone for pulling together on this, because it's actually our community that we are showing off to the world at the Grand Opening. Some considerations for the big day on Saturday:

SPREAD THE WORD. Please share our Grand Opening posts on IG and FB and everywhere else. There are a pile of flyers left in the dojo that will be worthless on Sunday - please make an effort to hang a flyers in and around Atlanta!

RUN OF SHOW. Ideally, there will be students practicing on the mat at all times. (This is why you have been asked to sign up for hour-long slots.) Mat activity should default to Open Mat - practice whatever you want unless and until an instructor begins leading a short class.

GREETERS: There will be a handful of students who are greeters - their job it is to meet visitors at the door, introduce themselves, talk about Aikido practice, and provide info on how to join. I will ask a few students to be greeters... but I might ask anyone to hop off the mat to talk with visitors.

MEMBERSHIP INFO FLYER: Greeters will have flyers with details on how to join Peachtree; every visitor will get a flyer from one of the greeters.

FOOD AND DRINK: Lunch will be provided to Peachtree students; there will also be a little bit of food for visitors as well. Lots of students and parents have asked if they can bring food to the event - the answer is YES and we love you for asking! Bring whatever you wish; low-maintenance options are best.

OTHER STUDENTS: We will likely have a few students from other dojos coming to practice with us, as we invited all local dojos to come train with us - if you see someone come in with a uniform, show them to the dressing room.
