UPCOMING EVENTS
(all of these are on the class calendar)
AUG 10-12: Hattiesburg (MS) seminar, with Blue Sensei instructing. This is a fun and hughly affordable seminar. If youre thinking about going, please put your name on the whiteboard near the kiosk at the dojo. We will figure out carpooling and roomsharing as the event gets a bit closer. Open to students 12 and above (kids need a guardian - please see me about this if you're interested in bringing your kid/s). If you have questions about costs etc, please ask an instructor. It's going to be great!
SEPT 9: Kyu Testing. This is the next kyu testing date at Peachtree. If you feel you'll be ready to test in September, NOW is the time to mention it to your instructors. We will of course approach those who are ready before then, but the old adage is true: if you're not sure if you're testing or not, then you are not testing.
NOV 10-12 Winter Camp in Fort Lauderdale. This is our annual pilgrimage, where many yudansha from Peachtree will be testing for their next belt rank. Open to kids 12 and up (same as above). Details to follow but go ahead and add it to your calendar now!
OTHER ITEMS
Enjoy the bottled water. There is lots of bottled water in the dojo right now, leftover from last week's kyu testing - please enjoy it! When it's gone, it's gone. Please don't leave your water bottle on the shoe rack or anywhere else in the front room.
Please ignore all other beverages. There is very little storage in the dojo right now; we're working on that (see next item). In the meantime, please do not consume any of the beverages that are in the dressing rooms in the dojo. They are in storage for our next kyu testing day!
In search of storage solutions. We need at least two more large storage lockers or cabinets. Ideally they will be in great shape, at a reasonable price, and attractive enough to reside in our beautiful new dojo. If you have ideas, please email me (markbrodbeck@gmail.com) or text me at 678-640-9979.
