Believe it or not, October will be two whole years in our 'new' space. That means it's time for some upgrades!

First up: Signage for the changing rooms.

We have an amazing community of creative types and kids so we're opening up the opportunity to all to provide solutions. Specifically, between now and noon on Sun Sept 1, we will accept proposals for signage that meets the following criteria.

1. There are two signs - one for MEN and one for WOMEN.

2. The sign for the men's changing room must have the word 'MEN' on it, and must also contain the kanji for 'man' on it

3. Item 2 also applies to the women's sign
   

4. It must be reasonably durable. Metal, plastic, laminate, marble, deerskin, palimpsest, macrame... Whatever it is, it has to be something that will stand the test of time - and Windex.

5. If making your sign has expenses, we can help with that up to a point.

6. Your signs must be finished and ready to hang by Friday Sept 23. This gives you roughly three weeks to build your masterpiece - and we'll hang them just in time for kyu testing!

Submit your signage idea to markbrodbeck@gmail.com (or bring a drawing of it to the dojo) no later than noon on Sun Sept 1. If there are related expenses, be sure to detail them in your proposal. A handful of anonymous judges with prior experience in changing room signage and restrained yet constructive judginess will pick the winning design, and alert the winner within a few days.
