KYU TESTING – June 13, 2026

Mark your calendars! Kyu testing is scheduled for Saturday, June 13.

Testing eligibility consists of 3 requirements:

1. Minimum number of practice days by rank;

2. Technical proficiency; and

3. Attitude toward training, the dojo, and our community at large.

Students can check their classes logged toward their next test at any time in the ZenPlanner app. The 2nd and 3rd requirements are in the Technical Committee’s discretion. All 3 requirements must be met to be eligible to test.

Students listed below have met (or will meet) the 1st requirement. These students are currently under consideration. Appearing on this list, however, does not guarantee testing. The TC also periodically tests students without prior notice!

If your name is on this list, you (or your child) would do well to ramp up your training between now and the test date. This will likely mean increasing attendance and/or making best use of your time while in the dojo. Doing so will also help improve your standing to test.

If you feel you/r child should or should not be on the list below, please speak to an instructor. If you’re not listed here, you should still be ready to take ukemi  for your fellow students - before and on testing day!
