BIG weekend coming up at Peachtree! Some details for your preparation.

• 10 AM: Combined class: adults AND kids

• 11 AM: Kyu Testing

• Following kyu testing, we will go en masse to Mama's on Piedmont Rd for mucho tacos and refreshments! Mama's is walkable from the dojo, also has a lot of parking. Kids, adults, Peachtree Parents - all are welcome. (Dogs are probably welcome on the patio)

There is no 9:00a kids class, and no Iaido class on Saturday.

Testing is a community-wide event, regardless of rank or age. All students and instructors should make every effort to attend for MANY reasons:

- to support the testers by serving as ukemi

- to 'turn up the heat' on testers by increasing audience size

- to improve your own practice by watching others

Perhaps most importantly, we actively participate in testing day to demonstrate to each other that each of us - and the dojo as a community center - are worth your time. "There's only one thing more precious than time and that's who we spend it on." - Leo Christopher.

Of course, we all juggle numerous priorities in our lives! If you are unable to make it to testing, it's good etiquette to let an instructor know beforehand.

I'll be at the dojo at 9:30a on Saturday to clean a little before class gets underway. Feel free to join me!
